Why We Exist
Navigating life in a new country shouldn’t be a struggle fought alone. Too often, systemic barriers, from complex housing forms to digital exclusion—prevent capable people from fully participating in society.
Led by lived experience, UFIP bridges the gap. We go beyond basic support to provide culturally safe guidance and community spaces where individuals can regain their confidence, access their rights, and build a meaningful future in Glasgow.
Become a Community Builder
Turn your passion into power. At UFIP, volunteers don’t just ‘help out’-they lead. Whether you are using your lived experience to mentor peers or gaining professional skills in advocacy and event management, joining our team is a pathway to confidence, employment, and community leadership.
🌍 Event Management
Lead on hospitality and logistics, ensuring every guest feels valued while gaining practical skills in event coordination and public engagement.
🤝 Peer Leadership
Leverage your lived experience to mentor peers, turning shared challenges into shared strength. You will guide newcomers through the settlement journey, offering the culturally safe advice they can trust.
💻 Digital Champions
Serve as a Digital Champion, empowering others to bridge the digital divide. You will help community members master email, stay safe online, and access vital services, ensuring no one is left behind.
