Our Services
What We Do
Unity for Integration Project (UFIP) is a community‑led Scottish charity advancing inclusion and wellbeing. We help people settle, connect, and succeed through practical one‑to‑one support, skills development, and welcoming community spaces where everyone belongs, regardless of age, background, or faith.
Our model blends three strands: practical support (advocacy and signposting to health, legal, housing and social services), skills & opportunity (CV help, job coaching, digital confidence, life skills), and community & belonging (support groups, shared meals, youth activities, and inclusive events). This combination reduces isolation, removes access barriers, and builds the confidence people need to participate fully in community life.
Why it matters
Many of the people we support face language, digital, financial, or cultural barriers that make everyday tasks, like accessing GP care, applying for school places, or securing work – harder than they should be. UFIP provides trusted, local, face‑to‑face support and small‑group workshops that turn intent into practical progress: navigating services, building job‑readiness, improving digital access and safety, and forming social networks that reduce loneliness and stress.
How we deliver
- Open access & warm referrals: People can self‑refer or be signposted by partners; we use warm handovers and follow‑ups.
- Safeguarding & dignity: Safe, welcoming spaces; trauma‑informed, non‑judgemental practice that protects privacy and choice.
- Partnerships: We collaborate with local services and community groups to avoid duplication and extend reach.
- Volunteer‑powered value: Trained volunteers and peer mentors increase capacity and deliver strong value for money.
- Monitoring & learning: We track attendance and progression (CVs created, interviews, referrals completed, digital milestones, confidence and wellbeing changes) to improve what we do and evidence impact.
