Unity Hub
More than a building. A home for community-led change.
Unity Hub Glasgow is the community home of Unity for Integration Project — a welcoming space where people can find support, build skills, improve wellbeing, create, volunteer, organise, research, connect and grow into leadership.
The Hub brings programmes, people and partnerships together under one roof, creating the physical and social infrastructure needed for stronger communities, deeper participation and lasting opportunity.
A space where community life happens every day
On any given day, the Unity Hub can be a place to ask for practical support, learn a new skill, take part in a wellbeing activity, work on a film, volunteer, contribute to research, meet new people or simply feel part of a community.
Our spaces support family and wellbeing programmes, recovery support, employability and digital skills, creative media training, film screenings, community research, volunteering, leadership development, cultural activities and partner collaboration.
The Hub is also a place where ideas can grow. Community members, volunteers, researchers and partner organisations can meet, exchange knowledge, develop projects and work together on issues that matter to the communities around us.
When the Hub is not being used for UFIP programmes, suitable spaces are available for private, community and organisational bookings. Income from venue hire helps us maintain the Hub and support UFIP’s wider charitable work.

Planning an event at the Unity Hub?
Find answers to some of the most common questions about venue hire, facilities, payments and bookings. If you need more information, our team will be happy to help.
How many people can the main hall accommodate?
Capacity depends on the layout and type of event. The main hall can accommodate approximately 140 guests in a banquet layout and up to approximately 200 people for suitable theatre-style or standing arrangements. Final capacity will depend on the proposed layout and event requirements.
Is there a minimum booking period?
Yes. Hourly bookings for the main hall and meeting rooms normally have a minimum booking period of two hours. Our event packages have their own hire periods, which are explained in the current Venue Hire Guide.
Can we use the kitchen?
Selected packages include kitchen access for buffet service and food set-up. Cooking facilities are not automatically included and any cooking or additional kitchen use must be discussed and agreed with UFIP in advance.
Can we bring our own food or caterer?
Food and catering arrangements should be discussed with UFIP when making your booking request. Please tell us if you plan to bring prepared food, use an external caterer or require kitchen access so that the appropriate arrangements can be agreed before your event.
Are tables and chairs included?
Yes. Main hall bookings include access to tables and chairs. Package inclusions and available layouts vary, so please check the current Venue Hire Guide when planning your event.
Is sound equipment available?
Selected bookings and packages include use of a speaker and microphone. If your event requires additional sound, presentation, screening or technical equipment, please tell us when submitting your booking request.
Can we decorate the venue?
Yes, appropriate decorations may be permitted subject to the venue conditions. Decorations must not damage walls, ceilings, furniture, fixtures or equipment. Please discuss any substantial decorations or installations with UFIP in advance.
Can I view the venue before booking?
Yes. If you would like to see the Unity Hub before making your booking decision, contact our team to arrange a suitable time. Viewings are arranged around programmes, events and existing venue bookings.
When is the remaining balance due?
The remaining venue hire balance is due 14 days before the event unless a different arrangement has been confirmed by UFIP in writing.
How does the refundable security deposit work?
A £100 refundable security deposit applies to relevant venue bookings. It is normally refunded within five working days after the event, provided the venue is left clean and tidy, furniture is restored as required and there is no damage, loss or other chargeable issue. Appropriate cleaning, repair or replacement costs may be deducted where necessary.
Does submitting a booking request reserve my date?
No. Submitting the booking form is a request and does not reserve the date. Your booking is secured only after UFIP has confirmed the booking and the required non-refundable booking deposit has been received.
