Common Questions

Quick answers about who we are, how to join in, and how we support our community.

About Our Mission

Who is Unity for Integration Project?
UFIP is a community-led Scottish charity based in Glasgow (Charity SC045663). Since 2013, we’ve helped newcomers, families, and ethnic minority communities access support, build skills, and feel a sense of belonging.
Where are you based?
Our office is at 25 Hillfoot Street, Glasgow, but we work across the city. Many of our workshops, trips, and events happen in partner venues and community centers to reach people where they are.
How can I contact the team?
The best way is via our Contact Form or by emailing co*****@******ip.org. We aim to reply within 2–3 working days.

Events & Volunteering

How will I know about the next event?
We post dates on our social media and our Events Page. For major announcements, we send an email newsletter – you can sign up via our contact form.
Do I need specific skills to volunteer?
Not always! We have roles for all experience levels—from welcoming people at events to providing digital or admin support. If you have a specific skill (like teaching or legal knowledge), let us know!
Can I bring my family?
Yes! Many UFIP events, especially our seasonal celebrations and trips, are family-friendly. Check the specific event description to be sure.

Donations & Funding

How are donations used?
100% of public donations go directly to our programmes. Funds support advocacy, digital inclusion, youth activities, skills workshops, and inclusive community events.
How do I donate?
You can donate securely online via our Stripe Page. Monthly regular giving helps us plan long-term support for families.
Can my organisation partner with UFIP?
Absolutely. We co-deliver workshops, host drop-ins, and collaborate on campaigns with schools, other charities, and businesses. Please reach out to discuss a partnership.

Access & Inclusion

Are your venues accessible?
We prioritize step-free access and accessible facilities for all our events. If you have specific needs (e.g., quiet space, wheelchair access), please tell us when you register so we can ensure you are comfortable.
Do you offer language support?
Yes. Where possible, we provide community language support or signposting to interpretation. Let us know your preferred language when you get in touch.
How do you handle my data?
We take privacy seriously. We only collect the information needed to provide support and keep it secure in line with GDPR. You can ask us for our full privacy policy at any time.
